June 30, 2013 - PRLog -- Day 01: Drive from Kathmandu to Baglung via Pokhara

Day 02: Baglung to Beni:
Cross the river here and head up its West Bank, but the East Side is currently a little easier.  Along here, you may see villagers making so-called rice paper from the bank of the Daphne Bholua Shurb (Nepali people called Baruwa or Kagat), which is collected up in the high hills here. The bark is pounded in to a pulp, and the pepper is made from the slurry that settles on a screen and dries in the sun. It is traditionally made from it there. If you see a family making some, ask to buy a few sheets locally. Continue north up the east bank, through Jimire, to Pharse, in 1 hour. Here there is    suspension bridge (829m.) Over the Kali Gandaki. Decide whether to cross it, depending on the weather and time of day and weather you want to be in the sun. Assuming you crossed it to avoid the afternoon sun, your route will head north and pass through the towns of Taremaregoan, Ratnaachaur, Lamogara, Taagnebagar and Jaremare before coming to the Myagdi Khola in 1 and half hours. Here you cross the suspension bridge    (823m.) And reach Beny, at the large town and administrative center for Myagdi district. Camp in fields beyond the village. You could also cont inue north up the Kali Gandaki and reach Tatopani with its hordes of trekkers, and go on to Thaka Khola, between Annapurna and Dhaulagiri.

Day 03: From Beni pass Mangalghat where there is row of shops, then enter a desolate mountainside. Pass Jyanmara, which consists of a single teahouse; after the mountain path, follow a wide level path. Houses increase as you approach Singa with its shops and teahouses. The Myaddi Khola meanders beyond this village; you follow a short stony path along the left bank. Follow a raised path above the reversed, pass a hot spring below to the left, and enter cultivated fields to wide path that leads to Tatopani. Ten minutes beyond this village, cross a suspension bridge to the Right Bank, pass the teeny village of Bholamza, and go through the fields to another suspension bridge, which returns you to the left bank. Pass by Simarchor a little farther on and cross a suspension bridge over the Newale Khola that flows in from the right. Follow the Myagdi Khola left banks path pass the small village of Shiman and Talkot; climb a bit to Babichor (950m) with its Shops and teahouse. Camp on the grassy area next to the granary before the village.
