The Top Five Expectations at Apple's WWDC 2013

London Mac Repairs bring you the top 5 rumours and expectations from the keynote address on Monday 10th June at the 24th annual Apple Developers Conference at the Moscone Centre in San Francisco...

LONDON - June 8, 2013 - PRLog -- Just a few days before WWDC 2013 opens its doors and sheds light on all things new and Mac we feel it's  a good time to look at the rumours and predictions doing the rounds. This summer's WWDC 2013 event is held at the Moscone Center we believe most likely to surface is the highly anticipated iOS 7 preview (Number One) to quench our thirst for new features, bells and whistles to take the iPhone, iPad and iPods into 2014. Jonny Ive recently remarked that his future thinking is based around ‘Flat Design’ which focuses on  simplicity, clarity, and honesty of materials in user interfaces. Interesting stuff...

Eagerly awaited as much as a new mobile software update is the successor to the feline monikered family of Apple operating systems Mac OS X... and the last in the line up before we reach eleven; Mac OS 10.9 (Number Two) - Rumours circulate this is most likely alongside iOS7 and we now know that OS X 10.9 has an amusingly dubbed codename ‘Cabernet’...

Updates probably to arrive might be to iCloud and iMessage, both of which are reported to have been extremely unreliable on the desktop versions and it’s possible to offer tighter integration with mobile devices.  It’s worth reminding ourselves that Apple wants developers to love iCloud so we can expect to see a hard sell there.

With regard to hardware, excitement mounts for a new MacBook Pro and MacBook Air (Number Three and Four) as it is a year since the last update for both models. If they’re released we can expect faster performance and the possibility of dual Thunderbolt ports, whilst some say a new MacBook Air might also bring improvements to battery life by taking it up to 10-hours. It’s also believed that the uprated 802.11ac wireless standard for faster Wi-Fi will be included along with new Airport and Time Capsules to complete the boost for network connectivity.

Most interesting to the Apple technicians at London Mac Repairs would be an all new Mac Pro workstation (Number Five). If unleashed this would indicate the position Apple might be taking with respect to Mac's in the enterprise market. With the loss of the X-Serve and only consumer-focused desktop models - the Mac mini and iMac - a rekindled Mac Pro would be a very welcome and head-turning surprise for the creative and media industry who rely on market leading applications from Adobe and the like and the robustness of a high performance, easily expandable Mac tower with a plethora of connectivity options. Of course, some are saying that this would be very unlikely when we are mindful that the market for personal computers is shrinking as mobile devices like smartphones and tablets become more and more popular. Intel’s new Haswell processors are most likely to be central to any and all new Mac hardware models - desktops or mobile computers.

Lastly we come to the much fabled Apple TV, iRadio and of course, the iWatch... all of which have done the rounds for so long now we wonder if such devices would ever come to market. There’s always a chance and you can be sure whatever we see released, as always with Apple, will surprise and delight Mac users in and around London, United Kingdom and all around the globe.
