Considering this fact, a gynecologist stated - “Very rarely, there are chances that preterm infants who suffer from impaired metabolic activity could accumulate this drug and show the same symptoms as that of neonatal abstinence. Most of the reliable reviewers regard Zoloft as the preferred antidepressant for nursing mothers.”

Although there is less likelihood of children getting affected by Zoloft when breastfeeding, manufacturers advice to be careful.
