A Very Special Equestrian Evening is Planned at Land Rover Hilton Head

HILTON HEAD ISLAND, S.C. - May 13, 2013 - PRLog -- In advance of the Hilton Head/Savannah Equestrian Exposition on May 19 at Rose Hill Equestrian Center, sponsor Land Rover Hilton Head will be celebrating with an Equestrian Evening. The event, scheduled for Friday, May 10,, at the dealership, will feature special guests jockey Eddie Maple and thoroughbred Dynamite. Light refreshments will be provided, and attendees will have the opportunity to meet, greet, and have their pictures taken with the Hall of Fame jockey and the champion thoroughbred.

Over the course of his 34-year racing career, Eddie Maple recorded 4,398 wins, $105,338,573 in purse money, and has won titles at the prestigious Saratoga and Aqueduct Racecourses, as well as scoring an astounding seven wins at the Saranac. He was inducted into the National Racing Hall of Fame in 2009, and won the 1995 George Woolf Memorial Jockey Award and the 1998 Mike Venezia Memorial Award. Maple is currently the manager of Rose Hill Equestrian Center, and is the chairman of this year’s Hilton Head/Savannah Equestrian Exposition.

The theme of the 9th Annual Hilton Head/Savannah Equestrian Exposition is the “Spirit of the Horse.” The daylong celebration will feature a number of exciting events and demonstrations showcasing the elegance and power of these beautiful animals, as well as the skillful interplay between horse and rider. Events will include a Parade of Breeds, Lowcountry Hunt Demonstration, Barrel Racing, Dressage, and a Polo Match

The Meet and Greet hosted by proud sponsor Land Rover Hilton Head will serve as a wonderful way to get ready for the Equestrian Expo, and to meet a horse racing legend.
