Southeastern Tech Firm EDTS Re-Launches Web Portal to Meet Surging Customer Demand
“This website re-launch is a major initiative in our strategy to expand our presence with corporate, non-profit and governmental customers across the Southeast,” said Charles Johnson, EDTS CEO. “This expanded web presence facilitates 24/7/365 access for clients to our services and enhances customer service capabilities. The responsive design of the website allows site visitors to optimize presentation of content and functionality on whatever device they are utilizing, from smart phone to tablet, laptop to PC, noted John Tippett, EDTS chief operating officer who assisted in the project’s development. “Site visitors can also quickly source information based upon the size of their organization, their role in a company, or their type of industry right from the front page in a single click, which makes it easy for visitors to go where they need to, get relevant information and not waste time. We recognize they are busy people.”
The site also features expanded and secure support functions for existing customers, including live support chat, log-in access for support requests or training registration, and includes an expansion of the innovative EDTS Savings Calculator, accessible from any page, where a visitor can quickly determine the likely cost of their organization’
“So often, organizations have no idea how much money they can save – and how they can improve both support quality and security at the same time – by considering a managed services provider like EDTS,” said Johnson. “This will give them a close approximation of those cost savings and, if interested, lets them follow up with us directly for a formal quote.”
Other site enhancements include an expanded Resources section containing news releases, articles, brochures, white papers and helpful links, along with a Business Challenges section where site visitors can access information based upon specific issues they are facing. The site also encompasses a full description of EDTS services, client success stories, biographies of key executives, professional certifications maintained by the organization, details on solution partners and allies, and more.
“This site is dynamic and very much a work in progress, and a tool that we fully envision will continue to grow, deepen and evolve as time goes forward,” added Johnson.
Many aspects of the site were driven by analysis of best-of-breed industry sites, as well as in reviewing top site characteristics of web-based organizations. “We focused on what key user audiences want to shape content, organization and navigation, presenting the information they asked for in a fashion that is easily accessible and intuitively located,” noted Johnson.
EDTS was recently named to the Inc. 5000 Fastest-Growing Private Companies in America for the third consecutive year, and as the seventh fastest-growing small company in South Carolina on the inaugural statewide 2012 Roaring Twenties list, which cited EDTS’s growth rate of 198.4 percent in overall revenues since 2010. The firm recently opened its third office in Columbia, SC.
