9th Annual Hilton Head/Savannah Equestrian Exposition Will be Sponsored by Land Rover Hilton Head

HILTON HEAD ISLAND, S.C. - May 3, 2013 - PRLog -- Magnificent horses and multiple events showcasing the art and skill of horsemanship will be the highlights of the Hilton Head/Savannah Equestrian Exposition, which will take place Sunday, May 19, at the Rose Hill Equestrian Center. Fittingly enough, one of the sponsors of this year’s Exposition is Land Rover Hilton Head. Land Rover has been a long-time supporter of equestrian eventing, and is a major sponsor of both the United States Equestrian Federation and the British Equestrian Federation.

The theme of this annual fundraiser, now in its ninth year, is the “Spirit of the Horse,” and spectators will be treated to a number of exciting events and demonstrations that will showcase the elegance and beauty of these amazing animals. Among the scheduled events will be the Parade of Breeds, Barrel Racing, Dressage, Lowcountry Hunt demonstration, Hunt Chase, Six-Bar Jumping, and a Polo Match.

There will also be an Art Tent featuring equestrian fine art for sale, along with a variety of other equestrian-themed vendors.

“Our goal continues to be showcasing the Spirit of the Horse for the benefit of local charities and increasing the public awareness of the equestrian lifestyle,” said Dr. Sandy Termotto, president of Equus Ventures, LLC, and founder of the Hilton Head/Savannah Equestrian Exposition.

The Equestrian Exposition has raised close to $250,000 for local charities. The charities that will benefit from this year’s expo include the American Diabetes Association, Bluffton Historical Preservation Society, Faith Equestrian Therapeutic Center, Heritage Library History & Genealogy Research Center, Heroes on Horseback, John Paul II Catholic School, Lowcountry Hunt, Saint Gregory the Great Ministries, Savannah College of Art & Design Equestrian Program, and Savannah Philharmonic.

This promises to be a full day of fun and excitement for the whole family, and especially for anyone who appreciates horses, horsemanship, and the thrill of equestrian eventing.

Rose Hill Plantation Equestrian Center is located on Highway 278 in Bluffton. General admission is $15, and the gates open at 11:00 am. Events will begin at 12:30 pm, culminating with the Polo Match at 2:30 pm.
