uAlertMe Security App Updated for iPhone

For the first time since it was released over 2 years ago, the security app uAlertMe is being set to free for a day!

MELBOURNE, Australia - April 30, 2013 - PRLog -- For over 2 years now, uAlertMe has been assisting Macbook owners by allowing them to monitor and secure their MacBooks remotely.

uAlertMe has been developed by Independent, Melbourne-based developer PKCLsoft to coexist with a Mac OS app by the name of iAlertU.

iAlertU behaves like a car-alarm for the Macbook range of computers.  iAlertU is available as a free download from: http://sourceforge.net/projects/ialertu/

uAlertMe, once installed and properly configured, allows the user to connect to their Macbook remotely, grab photo's, screenshots and other information that makes it much easier to work out where the Macbook is and potentially, who has it.

If your Macbook is stolen and it has iAlertU running, then uAlertMe is one tool in your toolbox that you can use to find it again and get it back.

Through its interface over the internet, uAlertMe can instruct the Macbook to take photo's using its web camera, allowing you to get snaps of the possible thief.   It will also request network information that will make it easier to track down where the Macbook actually is.

uAlertMe runs on the Apple iPhone and iPod Touch and will be available to download for free for a day on Wednesday the 1st of May.

uAlertMe is available on the App Store at: http://itunes.com/apps/ualertme
