Gold Wing Road Riders Association Gone Mobile at Wing Ding 35

To that end, we will be launching a new mobile text alert program - starting this Wing Ding - that will provide text messaging as a mainstream form of communication to those of you who choose to “opt in” to receive it. What this means is that you will now have the option to have access to a far more cost-effective and efficient means of connecting with us for up-to-date information, news and events.

For example, GWRRA will text reminders and announcements about the calendar dates of, and links to, certain events. We will also text specific event information like “On the Go Wing Ding News”, Event Reminders and Special Offers. (Please note: This service will only be offered during Wing Ding hours. We would not expect Members to read or engage with our text messages from 9 p.m. – 9 a.m. and will therefore refrain from sending text alerts during those hours.) To opt in, Members who are attending Wing Ding 35 need only text “WingDing” to “555-888” in order to receive the aforementioned “On the Go Wing Ding News”, Event Reminders and Special Offers. In other words, to receive a typical Wing Ding news or text alert message from the “Keyword” WingDing, simply type WingDing on your mobile phone and send it to 555-888.(No purchase is ever necessary!) To opt out you may, at any time, simply text “Stop” to 555-888. Mobile phones have become an invaluable communication tool—not only do they tend to be turned on most of the time, we also rarely leave home without them—and we want to reach out to our GWRRA Members any way we can in order to stay connected at Wing Ding. This new means of communication will continue beyond Wing Ding so, for those of you who would like to opt in to it, we will provide you with more details about it in the near future.
