About the Comedians

Willie Barcena is a 20-year comedy veteran who’s talent has garnered him 12 appearances on “The Tonight Show with Jay Leno” more than any other Latino Comedian in the history of the Tonight Show. He has written and performed a one-man show entitled “Cry Like a Man” and  has appeared on many TV shows including: “Moesha” and “The Wayans Brothers” and was chosen to be the host of the popular Si-Tv production “Latino Laugh Festival – The Show.” He’s also made multiple appearances on tours such as “Que Locos,” “Latino Laugh Festival,” “Montreal’s Just for Laughs,” and “Crown Royal Latin All Stars Comedy Explosion.” Willie also had his own one hour Comedy Central special.

Gilbert Esquivel won his first comedy competition just one year into his stand-up career at the world famous Ice House in Pasadena, CA and has been seen on many television shows including Galavision's "Que Locos" as well as being one of the first Latino semi-finalists on BET's "Comicview”. Gilbert's goal is to someday use humor to help encourage, motivate and make changes in people's lives.

Jeff Garcia is one of the country's hottest rising young comics. His sharp wit and hilarious material on growing up Latino in a multi-cultural community quickly won the admiration of audiences at top Hollywood comedy clubs. Garcia won an "Annie" Animation Award for his voice-over work as "Sheen" in "The Adventures of Jimmy Neutron Boy Genius" on the Nickelodeon Network. Jeff Garcia also completed another feature length animated film "Happy Feet" with Robin Williams.

Lisa Alvarado is one funny Latina! She has transformed her unique life experiences as a Single Parent into a hilarious comedy routine. Her natural on stage charisma, beauty and sense of humor make her the complete package. Lisa’s TV appearances include NBC’s “Last Comic Standing”, Nick at Nite’s “The Search for the Funniest Mom in America 2″, SiTv and “Que Loco Comedy Jam” to name a few.

George Perez is one of the best up and coming comedians of his time. His wit and charm capture an audience and from there on the laughs are unstoppable. His street smarts and charismatic personality poke fun at the harsh, yet hilarious realities of growing up as a Latino in today's society. He uses his own life experiences as his anecdote to every joke.
