ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. - March 25, 2013 - PRLog -- Albuquerque, N.M. – Lou Camilli, founder and chief technology officer for Enerpulse, Inc., will present the benefits of the company's Precision Combustion Ignition (PCI) technology at the NGV Bridge Fleet Framework Summit scheduled for March 26-27 in Oklahoma City.  The summit features fleets that use natural gas to power their vehicles and those looking to convert. Enerpulse is a silver sponsor of the event.  In addition to his presentation, Camilli will be available at the Enerpulse booth to answer questions.

"Natural gas is a great alternative fuel to power internal combustion engines," explained Camilli.  "Unfortunately, vehicles using natural gas often experience challenges such as hard starting, rough idle, lower horsepower and reduced driving range. This can result in a loss of power and poor combustion stability."

In his presentation, Camilli will explain how Enerpulse's PCI technology helps address the challenges shared by natural gas-powered engines. Camilli will outline to natural gas conversion companies and fleet owners, how third party testing of PCI technology has demonstrated improvements in combustion stability, reductions in fuel consumption and total emissions by as much as 10 percent.

Enerpulse has developed and commercialized the first real breakthrough in automotive spark plug technology in over 120 years. Its PCI Plug stores electrical energy from the engine’s ignition coil in a built-in capacitor, releasing the energy at the exact moment it’s needed. Although it looks and installs like a conventional spark plug, a PCI plug delivers over 5 million watts – more than 1,000 times more peak spark power – and couples over five times more energy to the fuel charge at the critical point of ignition.

Valor Motor Company, a wholly owned subsidiary of Noble Automotive Group, Inc., announced last September that it is now using Enerpulse's patented ultra high-power Pulse Plug on all vehicles they assemble that run on 100 percent compressed natural gas (CNG).
