Mike Brannon of National Gypsum to Speak at the 2013 Best Practices Conference for SharePoint

MAPLE GROVE, Minn. - March 21, 2013 - PRLog -- Mindsharp, a SharePoint Training company, will be hosting the 2013 Best Practices Conference (https://www.bestpracticesconference.com/SitePages/Default.aspx). This SharePoint Conference is unique because the focus will be on using SharePoint from the business side of the organization; there will not be an IT Pro or Developer track with technical information. There will be over 30 speakers from well-known profit and non-profit organizations, including Mike Brannon of National Gypsum Company (NGC). Mike is currently leading all of the technical teams that provide NGC organization wide technical infrastructure. He first deployed Tahoe/SharePoint Portal Server 2001 as a part of NGC sales force automation efforts, and NGC has leveraged SharePoint ever since in many capacities. Mike was instrumental in founding a local Charlotte, NC SharePoint user group, and he has spoken at a number of SharePoint Saturday and other SharePoint events.

His session topic is entitled “How National Gypsum is Leveraging the SharePoint Platform.” By using SharePoint, National Gypsum has decreased their software spend and resources consumed by various point solutions and in their next iteration, they will make SharePoint the one way to share, store and retain or defensibly depose of all unstructured electronic content. In this session, Mike will outline their future plans and the best practices they have developed over the last 10 years that have formed the foundation for their upcoming move to SharePoint as their core ECM platform.
