March 20, 2013 - PRLog -- For a parent seeing your child starting school for the first time can be a proud and memorable moment. As for the children, for some starting school is an exciting and joyous moment to look forward to, however some people find the though daunting and worrying. If your child is nervous about the big day, then here are some tips to comfort them and to get them prepared for their first day at school;

Do a trial run of the school journey to prepare your child for their day. Perhaps they have to get the bus to their new secondary school then do the journey with them on a non-school day and make sure they know exactly where to go.
Make sure they pack their bag the night before to save rushing in the morning.
Take note of important events coming up at the school, such as parents evening, charity events, school sports day etc.
Encourage your children to join extra-curriculum clubs. This can help them to make friends as well as starting something new and fun to do.
Take interest in the new friends that they are making and encourage play dates.

If you are searching for a school for your child to start at, look through local school brochures (http://www.schoolwebsite.co.uk/services/print-design/prin...) and a range of (http://www.schoolwebsite.co.uk/services/print-design/pros...) school prospectus (http://www.schoolwebsite.co.uk/services/print-design/prospectus-design.htm) to find out information about the place and what it has to offer for your child.
