GreenDog Foundation Awarded Grants from ASPCA

LAKE ELSINORE, Calif. - March 14, 2013 - PRLog -- A local dog rescue, GreenDog Foundation, has been awarded two grants from the ASPCA (The American Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals).  Ellen Debo, one of the founders of GreenDog Foundation, said, “GreenDog is a fairly new rescue organization and were pleasantly surprised to receive the grants, especially two, from the ASPCA.   We were able to purchase several crates and it has helped tremendously with our transportation to adoption events and the fostering of the dogs.”

GreenDog Foundation finds many of its rescues through local shelters, pulling the animals out before they are euthanized.  Several of the dogs have also been turned in from abused situations or have been found abandoned.

“We are always looking for volunteers to help at events as well as foster families.  We raise the majority of our donations through rummage sales.  We will gladly pick up resalable items.  Being a non-profit, 501c organization, we are able to provide a tax receipt for items donated,” stated co-founder, Krissy Weathers.

For further information or inquiries, GreenDog Foundation can be reached at (951) 609-0765 or P.O. Box 3831, Dana Point, CA 92629.   www.greendogfoundation.org
