'Topping Out' of The Madison Medical Resort Adds Fresh Profile to Odessa

ODESSA, Texas - March 11, 2013 - PRLog -- The Madison Medical Resort has officially “topped out” its construction and has completed the roofing, bringing a new and innovative profile to the Odessa healthcare world.  The $10 million, 43,000 square foot community will provide post-hospital recovery, skilled nursing and long-term care.  

Designed by architecture firm Jordan and Associates, The Madison’s distinctive construction  is designed with seniors’  and rehabilitation patients’ safety in mind. The one-story building provides easier access for all residents and patients to experience all of the amenities the community has to offer while maintaining a healing environment.

“Having a multi-story building is not conducive to the care and services we deliver,” said Dan Marick, regional director of SCC Healthcare Group – parent company of The Madison Medical Resort. “Our goal is to provide hotel-style accomodations and resort-style amenities accessible to all.”

Another important objective of the community is providing choices and privacy to their residents. The concept of “leisure dining” will allow residents to choose when they would like to eat, allowing freedom in their schedules. The short-term rehabilitation suites will have private showers, which is an important amenity compared to nursing facilities built 30 years ago. Each room is equipped with flat screen TVs, personal refrigerators, DVD players, and personal laundry services.

“The Madison Medical Resort will work closely with guests, their families, and their physicians to fulfill individual preferences and maximize independence,” continued Marick. “The hotel-style amenities became the vision behind the layout and construction of our building. We are excited about this construction milestone and are looking forward to getting closer to completion.”

Construction will now be focused on the interior of the building with the roughing in of the electrical, plumbing and fire sprinkler systems. The Madison has an estimated completion date of August 2013.

The Madison Medical Resort, a $10 million, 43,000 square foot, post-hospital recovery, skilled nursing and long-term care community, is owned and operated by SCC Healthcare Group, headquartered in Garland, Texas. Various levels of physical, occupational, speech, ultrasound, electronic stimulation, wound and IV therapy provided by a seasoned team of rehabilitation professionals will be available. Admission to The Madison will be initiated by a physician, hospital social worker, or discharge planner. The primary service area will include Odessa, Midland, Monahans and surrounding communities.  

The Madison will feature large flat screen TVs and satellite access in every room, hotel-style recovery suites, leisure dining accommodations, personal laundry services, courtyard, private dining room for family functions, and available transportation
