The 10 Cent Cigars release their debut CD

Feb. 15, 2013 - PRLog -- The 10 Cent Cigars consists of Ethan and Sawyer who are both from northern Wisconsin and have been playing music together for 1½ years.  They are influenced by artists such as The White Stripes, The Black Keys, Modest Mouse, The Gorillaz, The Beatles, and Left Lane Cruiser. They write and rehearse in a cabin in the woods of the north shore of Wisconsin, each playing different instruments and singing, depending on who wrote the song.  They equally contribute to the overall production, writing and recording of their music.  

Immediately after their first performance, Hungry Hill Studio took on this duo and helped them record their debut album "Rough-Cut", and even contributed in some of their tracks.    The engineer who worked on their new CD played fiddle on “Heartbreak Kid”.  Other musicians also lent a hand giving The 10 Cent Cigars a fuller, rounded sound.  The end result of their collaborative work was an extraordinary CD that they were extremely happy about, but the ones that benefit most are those who have an opportunity to experience their music; their loyal fans, audiences and listeners from all over the world.   Their diversity is apparent in every song they write.  

The 10 Cent Cigars is proud to announce the release of their debut CD “Rough-Cut” with singles “Heartbreak Kid” and “Don’t Know if you Knew” leading the pack.  These two songs clearly separate them for the traditional pack.  Their alternate rock sound is unique in many ways.  

“Don’t Know if you Knew” is a hard rock sound with great guitar riffs and vocals that match each note and tone of this song.  It has an edgy sound and so different than anything out on the airwaves to date.  

“Heartbreak Kid” carries a completely different sound to it.  The use of the fiddle draws attention to the depth and dynamics of their writing style.
