Mini Cooper drivers voted most attractive in Britain, says new survey

Feb. 13, 2013 - PRLog -- 52% of the 1,000 people surveyed saying they would like to snog a Mini owner. Vauxhall Astra drivers are the least likely to receive a valentines day smooch on the 14th, with two thirds of those surveyed saying they would avoid them.

The survey, completed in February 2013, polled British car owners to see what they really think about the  cars driven by the opposite sex. While Mini Cooper drivers are the most kissable across Britain, 80% of Northern women are dreaming of a romantic dinner for two with an Audi TT driver, and 100% of West Country men will not be asking out anyone driving a Porsche 911.

Drivers of black cars are overwhelmingly voted the most attractive and 25% of those surveyed think drivers of silver cars exude success. Red or yellow cars are seen to be driven by show-offs (by 32% and 37% of people respectively), while drivers of beige and white cars might want to think about getting a fresh paint job in 2013 as they’ve been voted the dullest in Britain.

In the race to the altar, the survey reveals that 60% of Londoners, 57% of Bristolians and 60% of Brummies would like to marry the owners of flash cars such as BMWs, Audis and Porsches.  Drivers of more practical cars like Ford Mondeos, Renault Clios or Honda Civics are more likely to get a snog than a marriage proposal.

While motorists young and old generally agree on the “snog, marry, avoid” qualities of British car owners, opinions of their own cars differ wildly. 18 to 25 year olds consider gadgets & sound systems (24%), top speed (18%) and price tag (17%) as things to brag about, whereas motorists over 50 prefer to tell their mates about fuel efficiency, boot space and eco friendliness.
