Beitz & Daigh Geographics, Inc. is pleased to announce that Dr. Michael Galbreth, Associate Professor of Management Science at the Moore School of Business, University of South Carolina, and Paul Amos, Managing Director of the Wharton GIS Research Laboratory at the University of Pennsylvania, have both joined its newly formed advisory board.

Dr. Galbreth’s research activities are currently focused on interdisciplinary business research, sustainable operations, and supply chain management. In 2010 he was named a Fulbright Scholar and served as the Fulbright Enders Visiting Research Chair at McGill University. Dr. Galbreth’s research has been accepted for publication in journals such as Management Science, Marketing Science, MIS Quarterly, European Journal of Operational Research, and Journal of Business Logistics. He is an Associate Editor of Decision Sciences.

“I have enjoyed working with Dr. Galbreth over the past 5 years as he has used Esri’s Business Analyst GIS software as part of his IMBA curriculum in analyzing retail real estate. I am looking forward to having his input on using GIS to tackle Big Data problems for organizations as well as on how we can help clients to better research, organize, and display location data.” says David Beitz, President and Co-Founder of Beitz & Daigh Geographics, Inc.

Mr. Amos has over seventeen years of experience with desktop geographic information systems software. Since coming to the Wharton School in 1997, Mr. Amos has focused on implementing GIS solutions for commercial real estate clients, performing demographic analysis, and has used GIS to assist housing economists with analyzing residential property values to create neighborhood housing price indexes. He teaches a graduate level course titled "Business Geographics" through the School of Design at the University of Pennsylvania. Mr. Amos also writes GIS software product reviews for Directions Magazine and co-chaired the programming committee for the first annual "Location Technology and Business Intelligence Executive Symposium" in 2004.

“We are thrilled to have Paul as part of our board. He has a deep understanding of how location technology and geographic business intelligence can help organizations to make better decisions. We look forward to having Paul’s input on how we help clients with this rapidly changing technology.” says George Daigh, Vice President and Co-Founder of Beitz & Daigh Geographics, Inc.
