Jan. 25, 2013 - PRLog -- To mark the end of an extremely successful year, digital creative agency Junk Beam has performed a website revamp to showcase the client projects completed during 2012. High profile customers of Junk Beam include Marks and Spencer, Courvoisier, Channel 4 and ITV.

“2012 was a phenomenal year for us, working with some of the biggest UK brands to create compelling marketing campaigns using augmented reality apps and projection mapping techniques,” said Junk Beam managing director Ben Paterson about the re-launch, “this new website shows not only what Junk Beam offers, but gives an indication of how cutting edge technology can be combined with stunning design to create arresting promotional tools.”

Visitors to the new website will be able to see video case studies of previous Junk Beam projects to gain a better understanding of augmented reality apps (AR) for smartphones and tablets and projection mapping technologies, clearly  demonstrating how these technologies could be put to use in their own campaigns. These videos will be joined by “making of” documentaries to show how the Junk Beam team take an initial idea through the AR development process to its stunning conclusion.

“Now that augmented reality has been proven as a concept and begun to gather mass-market appeal, businesses are looking to exploit the technology for engaging customers and generating a healthy revenue in the process,” explained Creative Director Joe Kletz, “Beautiful visual content is the differentiator between a good idea and a great augmented reality app. Junk Beam have the skills and experience to make this a reality for any business.”

Junk Beam specialise in creating design experiences to promote products or services through engaging digital content. Among their successful projects, Junk Beam created the first on-screen augmented reality iPad app for the Channel 4 reality show ‘Double Your House for Half the Money’, and the use of innovative projection mapping technology to provide visually stunning set decorations for ITV’s hit show ‘Britain’s Got Talent’.
