Golf With The Stars With Criterion Events

Jan. 24, 2013 - PRLog -- A fantastic day was had by all at the Shooting Star Chase 'Golf with the stars' day. The event held at the prestigious Wentworth golf course was attended by celebrities and their teams of supporters. The celebrities included Rob Brydon, Tony Christie, Lee Mack, Tony Hadley, Anton Du Beke, Len Goodman and Phillip Glenister. Before the start of the golf a cheque was presented to the charity for the sum of £25,000 by Ray Wilkins, making a great start to the event. All the players were kitted out in bespoke designer wear courtesy of Ian Poulter of IJP design and looked stunning.

The day went ahead despite the weather not being perfect. Shooting star chase is a children's charity set up to help terminally ill children and their families. Criterion provided an on course cocktail bar that went down well with all visitors. After the golf a stunning champagne reception and dinner was held at the Wentworth club.

During the dinner an auction was held with all proceeds going to the Shooting Star Chase, some of the more notable items on offer were a signed football boot by John Terry, a day at Ascot Racecourse and a night on the red carpet with Hugh Grant. The auction ended with a generous sum accumulated in aid of the charity. The entertainment at the end of the evening was by Al Murray.
