Mosaic - Beautifully Different

Jan. 22, 2013 - PRLog -- Los Angeles - Muslims for Progressive Values (MPV) announces the staging of its first performance show titled “Mosaic: Beautifully Different”.  

Mosaic is a thought provoking presentation of song, dance, poetry, and spoken word performed by progressive Muslim artists. The performances by both male and female artists will highlight a collage of artistic expressions inspired by the life styles and personal beliefs of those artists.

The purpose of this staging is to offer a platform for an American Muslim expression that is void of censorship, nurturing a body of works that is uniquely American and Muslim.

Proceeds from the show will go towards supporting MPV, Muslims for Progressive Values, (www.mpvusa.org), a progressive American Muslim grassroots organization where inclusive and egalitarian values of Islam are practiced and lived by. As a community MPV welcomes everyone, all Muslims and non-Muslims, mixed faith couples and LGBTQ Muslims.
