-- To kick off the 2012 holiday season, Texas Scottish Rite Hospital for Children (TSRHC) recently hosted a holiday tree-lighting ceremony and decorating party at the pediatric orthopedic hospital on Tuesday, November 27, 2012. http://www.tsrhc.org/
TSRHC trustee and Speaker of the Texas House of Representatives, The Honorable Pete Laney, along with TSRHC patients and siblings Will and Ellie Butts officially lit the hospital’s 18-foot holiday tree. Following the tree lighting ceremony, more than 400 community members, representing Dallas-area organizations, decorated the more than 50 holiday trees located throughout the hospital. The Town North Concert Band provided holiday music. Following tree decorating, dinner was provided for all participants. Texas Scottish Rite Hospital for Children is one of the nation's leading pediatric centers for the treatment of orthopaedic conditions, such as scoliosis, clubfoot, hip dysplasia, hand disorders, and Legg-Perthes, and certain related neurological disorders and learning disorders, such as dyslexia.
