Relax Inn Monroe Responds to Suspected Meth Lab Found on Property

Jan. 1, 2013 - PRLog -- At the Relax Inn our most important priority is the safety and well-being of our guests.  It is our understanding that law enforcement officials seized a mobile drug laboratory from a transient guest’s vehicle in our parking lot on August 10, 2012.  During the investigation, other guests staying at our property were relocated to a secure area of the building and safety precautions were taken before reopening the areas in question.    

The suspect’s room had been serviced and cleaned throughout his stay.  No suspicious or unusual activities were observed by either our maintenance or cleaning staff members.  While we believe all standard housekeeping practices were followed, additional protocol steps will now be taken to ensure an incident like this does not happen again.  We are committed to upholding our 20 year history of providing safe and affordable lodging in Monroe.    

The Relax Inn Monroe is cooperating with the North Carolina State Bureau of Investigation and local authorizes with their investigations.
