| The Legacy at Preston Hollow Enjoys Community Hanukkah CelebrationMore than 80 residents, family members and guests of The Legacy at Preston Hollow gathered in the community living room celebrate Hanukkah with musical entertainment, dinner and beverages, and a ceremonial lighting of the menorah.
By: Forte PR “Honoring Hanukkah as a community is important to The Legacy at Preston Hollow,” said Jerry McDonald, executive director of The Legacy at Preston Hollow. “It is wonderful to see residents celebrating with their loved ones.” Guests were greeted at The Legacy with champagne and musical entertainment by Michael Frankel who played holiday favorites. Kol Rina, Congregation Anshai Torah men’s choir, then began the menorah lighting ceremony by leading everyone in prayer. Choir leader Bruce Katz lit the candles in celebration of the sixth night. Festive cocktails along with potato latkes and smoked salmon were served, with the evening ending in Hanukkah melodies. The Legacy at Preston Hollow, formerly known as Veranda Preston Hollow, is a 501(c)3 not-for-profit, faith-based senior living residence that offers a continuum of care allowing residents to stay in place with assisted living, short-term rehabilitation, skilled nursing, and long term care.
