Dec. 17, 2012 - PRLog -- London Business School MBA graduates are sought after within different sectors and this year has been no different despite the current economic scenario. The current statistics have shown that 92% of this year’s Graduating students have found employment and within three months’ time frame.

Fiona Sandford, Executive Director, Careers and Global Business, London Business School, said, “It’s great to see that, despite another tough year in the job market, our students remain highly sought after, with 92 percent of graduates being in positions within three months of graduation.

“Testament to the international mobility and global perspective of our students, this year we’ve seen record numbers of students heading outside the UK following graduation, with 53 percent choosing to work abroad”.

The MBA Employment report that was published recently indicates that the students have had a relatively good year and stand strong for employment within various sectors. The full time employed students have been recruited within the Consultancy sector, the finance sector and the corporate sector. The consultancy sector saw 33% of graduating students take up roles; the finance sector saw 32% and the maximum was seen by the corporate sector (35%).

The school’s 2013 MBA students have also secured internships over the summer. The school itself has added new components to their Full-time MBA Programme such as the Global Business experience (GBE) which has given the students a chance to visit some established and emerging economies to learn different aspects of business. The countries that have been included for the year are New York, Johannesburg, Mumbai, Hong Kong and Istanbul. This will enable the students to study different business environments and give them the opportunity to seek employment in preferred locations globally.

Sandford further added, “The idea is that by the end of their time here at London Business School, students will be able to do business anywhere in the world”.

The School has been ranked the top school in the Bloomberg Business week International Business School category for the Best MBA programme. This is without doubt added prestige to the school and elevated its status among employers worldwide.
