AEESP Names Environmental Engineering Science as its Official Journal
The Association of Environmental Engineering and Science Professors (AEESP), has selected the peer-reviewed journal Environmental Engineering Science as its Official Journal.

New Rochelle, NY—A leading scientific society of university professors throughout the world that focuses on education and research in the sciences and technologies of environmental protection, the Association of Environmental Engineering and Science Professors (AEESP) (http://www.aeesp.org)
"This collaboration between AEESP and Environmental Engineering Science brings to fruition a long term effort on the part of AEESP to find improved avenues for promoting environmental engineering and science research” says AEESP President Mark Wiesner, Professor of Civil, Architectural, and Environmental Engineering at Duke University. Outgoing AEESP President Joel G. Burken, Professor of Civil, Architectural, and Environmental Engineering, Missouri University of Science and Technology, Rolla, MO reflects that “AEESP investigated and sought this affiliation with Environmental Engineering Science in large part as the consequence of AEESP’s strategic planning efforts and vision to best serve our members and the entire field of environmental engineers and scientist and our membership voted overwhelmingly to back this new collaboration.”

The Association of Environmental Engineering and Science Professors (http://www.aeesp.org) is made up of professors in academic programs throughout the world who provide education in the sciences and technologies of environmental protection. The mission of AEESP is to assist its members in the development and dissemination of knowledge in environmental engineering and science. AEESP seeks to strengthen and advance the discipline of environmental science and engineering by providing leadership, promoting cooperation amongst academics and others within and outside the discipline, and serving as a liaison between its membership and other professional societies, governmental agencies, industry and nonprofit organizations. The Association has over 850 members as it approaches its 50th anniversary, and is driving for 1000 members before its golden anniversary in December 2013.
