Document Automation for SharePoint now with Smart Templates that Auto-Calculate, Sort and Connect
Qorus Software has released latest version of Document Automation platform for SharePoint, with major enhancements that support generation of even more complex documents than ever before.
The company’s flagship product, Qorus DocGeneration, enables organizations to access document automation functionality natively in SharePoint and Microsoft Word and PowerPoint to design smart templates that dynamically merge with live data stored in SharePoint lists, CRM systems and virtually any enterprise system.
The latest release incorporates features that provide greater support for the generation of complex documents while making the design and development process simpler and more efficient. Major enhancements in this latest release include calculated tags and easily configurable sorting and filtering to support the addition of dynamically generated tables, as well as full support for SharePoint Business Connectivity Services.
“With these latest enhancements, we’ve focused on making it possible to support the generation of even more complex documents than ever before,” says Ray Meiring, CEO of Qorus Software. “The new calculated tags feature enables authors to create tables that automatically calculate values, such as pricing, upon generation of the end document based on pre-determined business rules. Authors can also have more freedom in determining how content is displayed in dynamically generated tables using our new sorting and filtering feature for tables.”
“While we’ve catered for the generation of more complex documents, we’ve also made the actual design and development process more efficient,” continues Meiring. “The calculated tags feature valwy not only makes it possible to calculate values on the fly, it also makes it possible to bundle multiple data tags that are commonly used together into one tag grouping. This saves template designers time and effort in the design process. From a development perspective, our support now of SharePoint Connectivity Services means developers are able to re-use what’s already there in terms of links to data sources being pulled via SharePoint lists, instead of relying on web services to establish a direct link to those data sources,” concludes Meiring.
The company is exhibiting at the Microsoft SharePoint Conference in Las Vegas from 11th – 15th November 2012, booth #1147 at the Mandalay Bay Convention Center. Company representatives will be running demonstrations of Qorus DocGeneration 14.3 throughout the week during exhibition hours.
