Follow on Google News | Cirque du Soleil KOOZA Images transform Cassis Restaurant in St. Petersburg.Bayprint, a leading Florida digital printing company, today announced the completed installation of 79 striking Cirque du Soleil window graphics in the upscale Beach Drive section of St. Petersburg, Florida.
By: Bayprint By special arrangements with Cirque du Soleil and Cassis American Brasserie restaurant owner Philippe Berriot, Bayprint was contracted to print and install images on the restaurant’s windows that represent the scenes, the characters and the mood of the Cirque du Soleil production, KOOZA, which opens in St. Petersburg at Tropicana Field on November 8, 2012. “This is the most interesting and colorful window installation we have ever done”, said Bayprint owner, Al Karnavicius. “All of the excitement and magic of Cirque du Soleil comes to life, right here on the sidewalks of St. Petersburg. City residents and visitors have never seen anything quite like this before. Cassis is getting a lot of attention, and so is Bayprint.” The images were printed at Bayprint’s production facility in St. Petersburg using the latest graphic printing technology. “The capabilities of our new Hewlett Packard Latex (HPL) inkjet printer really showed on this job” Karnavicius said. The HPL features an eco-friendly latex ink system which provides the quality and durability of solvent printers but without the environmental consequences. The print material used is a 65%-35% Window-Perforated vinyl. The material covers the entire surface of all 79 windows and the images are visible to table patrons and passers-by outside the restaurant. Inside, however, the view is like looking through a light gray screen with no graphics visible. Bayprint staff spent four days printing and precisely cutting the graphics to the exact window sizes, and the installation took just over one day. In addition to the exterior windows, Bayprint also produced large static cling KOOZA images that have been installed on the three mirror walls on the interior wall of Cassis. The installation will be part of on-going promotions and events to be held at Cassis during the run of KOOZA.
