Stay Electrically Grounded with the Desco 17200 Heel Grounder

Nov. 5, 2012 - PRLog -- The Desco 17200 Heel Grounder is designed for use in applications where user mobility is required. It provides a continuous ground path between an operator and a properly grounded ESD protected flooring. Designed for use on standard shoes, its hook-and-loop Velcro® fastening assembly can be easily adjusted to fit most individuals. This foot grounder features a laminated dual-layer rubber sole that has a conductive outer layer and an insulative inner layer that prevents carbon marring of shoes. A conductive nylon polyester  grounding strap with a built-in 1MΩ resistor provides body-to-ground contact on both sides of the foot. The product has been tested to ESD STM 97.2 - Floor Materials and Footwear Voltage Measurement in Combination with a Person. It is a suitable ESD footwear component in Flooring - Footwear System when used as the primary grounding method (<3.5 x 10 7 ohms per ESD STM 97.1 - Floor Materials and Footwear Resistance Measurement in Combination with a Person.)
