The Chris Canty Foundation will be partnering with the Second Harvest Food Bank in Charlotte NC

Nov. 2, 2012 - PRLog -- The Chris Canty Foundation will be partnering with the Second Harvest Food Bank in Charlotte, NC November 13th, 2012 on a Community Service project that will help in the battle against hunger in our area. Volunteers will help sort, inspect and pack food and other items for distribution to people at risk of hunger.

The Chris Canty Foundation founded by Chris Canty (Super Bowl XLVI Champion and starting DT of the New York Giants).

We are currently looking for 25 youth/adult volunteers to participate in thi
s service project. The Service initiative will help unite the community in a team effort while fighting hunger in 19 counties of North and South Carolina. This event is open to families, faith based organization, youth sports teams, and other community organizations. All individuals under the age of 18 must be accompanied by a parent or legal guardian.

The Chris Canty Foundation is dedicated to enhancing the total development of youth in our communities. Our goal is to utilize the platform of sports to affect positive change in the lives of children through mentoring, educational programs, health and fitness activities thus promoting health and well being. We seek to inspire our youth to be in service to our communities and our communities to be in service to our youth by providing support to these initiatives.

OUR GOAL: To keep all youth engaged in schools, stay healthy, and learn to serve the community.
