Oct. 29, 2012 - PRLog -- RUPCO's Community Lunch,http://rupco.org/communitylunch12.html,  originally scheduled for October 30, 2012 at the Andy Murphy Neighborhood Center in Mid-town Kingston has been cancelled until further notice. A state of emergency has been declared  and the weather is a considerable concern for our region. With Sandy already affecting lower New York and our neighboring states, our primary focus at this time is safety.

Community Lunch looked to feature the works and performances of local artists, traditional Mid-Hudson Valley cuisine as well as an opportunity to view the Lace Factory prior to the beginning of the lunch.  Noted economists Ann Markusen was scheduled to speak about regional revitalization through Creative Placemaking. Bonnie Landi was to be honored for her years of dedicated service to YouthBuild and the community.

We will re-schedule Community Lunch as soon as possible and will let all our friends and supporters know of the alternate date.  Questions can be directed to jlb@rupco.org.

In the meantime, we encourage everyone to heed all storm warnings and be safe.
