Author Thrust Into Darkness With ‘Shadows Chasing Light’
Oberlin graduate and self-published author Brian Bowers is scheduled to release his first book, Shadows Chasing Light, December 2012.
In 2008, following a semester abroad in Egypt, Bowers began what he has described as “exploring creativity to unify the human experience.”
In his foreword to the book, Professor Justin Emeka of Oberlin College states “Mr. Bowers guides us through a complex tapestry of thoughts, images and feelings felt by an entire generation standing at the cross-roads of self-discovery.”
With a title inspired by a line from Rabindranath Tagore’s Gitanjali, the poetic narrative captures snapshots of grief, happiness, love and an infinite longing for the unseen. In addition to writing, the self-proclaimed 'multi-medium' artist is also a singer, pianist and amateur photographer. The author currently resides in Houston, Texas and looks forward to exploring the world through creativity, thus broadening his knowledge and experience of spirituality, life, love and the human experience. Shadows Chasing Light will be available for purchase via www.thoughtpress.co and Amazon.
