Oct. 23, 2012 - PRLog -- RiskMeter Online, a provider of real-time, natural hazard risk reports, today announced it will demonstrate how its Wildfire Model can be used by underwriters and agents to assess and price wildfire risk.  This Webcast, taking place on Thursday, November 8th at 2pm (EDT), is open to all underwriters and agents.

According to a report from the National Interagency Coordination Center, wildfires were responsible for destroying 3,459 residences, 1,711 outbuildings and 76 commercial structures in 2011.  So far the 2012 wildfire season has been extremely active (approximately 9 million acres burned), due to a combination of drought, higher temperatures and below normal snowpack in Western states.

In order to help underwriters and agents to accurately assess and price wildfire risk, Dan Munson, Founder, RiskMeter Online will lead a live demonstration of RiskMeter's Wildfire Hazard Model.  This Webcast will cover various topics, including the methodology behind RiskMeter's Wildfire Hazard Model, compare 2012 wildfire extents to RiskMeter's results, as well as demonstrate RiskMeter’s wildfire assessment tools, including:

Birdseye Geocoding (Aerial Photos) - If the address entered is within close proximity to brush, the aerial photo will help users to analyze the area between the subject property and brush.
Manual Placement - Allows users to perform risk analysis on multiple buildings for a corporation by allowing them to click on various buildings and get a new brush report on each selection.
One-Click Ruler - If a lookup falls within a close proximity to a brush zone, users can use this feature to get an exact measurement from the subject property to medium or high brush.
Online Batch Processing - Enables users to quickly screen wildfire risk in books of business by simply uploading an Excel spreadsheet.

Attendees of this event will get a free two week trial account.  To secure your spot, visit: https://cdsysevents.webex.com or contact Dan Munson, Founder, RiskMeter Online at 617.737.4444 or dmunson@cdsys.com
