We work hard to integrate our personal beliefs into our company's mission. When it's time to leave, make sure that what you leave behind is better than what you originally found. To that end, our 2013 children and adult clothing lines will be hand-crafted using only refashioned or certified organic materials. We are proud to have these two textile manufacturers as an integral part of the Second Star family. Being ecologically friendly is not simply a catch phrase or a passing fad, it's a fashion initiative trending its way into the hearts of our planet's people and way of life ... an initiative of which Second Star is proud to be a part,” stated Caryn Dougherty, Creative Person in-charge of Second Star Designs. Second Star Designs is the first eco-inspired designer to register for BFW2013. “The eco-friendly fashions worked for us in 2008 and 2009. I have spent the last few weeks reviewing what has worked and what did not work for this event. Moving into our 6th year, I learned that in order for an event of this caliber to move to the next level, I have to revisit and examine what truly plateaued us to this point. I truly do not see anything wrong in looking back in the past as long as you learn from it and it moves you forward,” stated Nixon. BFW2013 will be held in the Preakness Ballroom at the Hilton Baltimore North/Pikesville, 1726 Reisterstown Road, Pikesville, Maryland 21208 – August 8 – 11, 2013.
