Jimmy Fastiggi releases CD "Baby It's Cold Outside" to rave reviews

Oct. 5, 2012 - PRLog -- Jimmy Fastiggi began his musical journey at the age of 19.  From the moment that he picked up the a guitar for the first time, it was love at first sight.  He taught himself how to play with a little help from legendary artists such as The Beatles, Bob Dylan, songs from the 60’s and 70’s.  He began by trying to emulate their music styles and quickly found that he too had a strong creative side to him.

Over the next several years, he had played in various bands.  The genre’ that he found himself drawn to was bluegrass, country and good ole rock ‘n roll.  Soon after came swing and jazz and now with a library of styles to choose from he developed his own signature sound which he calls Americana Rock and Roots.  It depicts the best of American culture laid out so beautifully through thoughtful lyrics along with a perfect blend of blues, rock, jazz, R & B and other styles yet to be discovered.

Jimmy Fastiggi’s latest CD Release “Baby It’s Cold Outside” gives audiences a broad spectrum in demonstrating his versatility and talent.  Included in this CD is single “Victims of Love” which describes the good and bad of falling in love.  In this case, the positive won.  It has a wonderful melody, which is upbeat with smooth lyrical content all graced with blissfully authentic old R & B swag to it.  This song makes you want to dance as its lighthearted style sets a mood you cannot deny.

“Baby It’s Cold Outside” was used as the soundtrack to a small independently produced romantic comedy.   The scriptwriter liked the single “Victims of Love” it to the point of almost changing the title of the film.
 
Other accomplishments and accolades include:

•   He has had the privilege of working with artists such as Bela Fleck who played with his bluegrass group Wickers Creek.  All the original members of Wickers Creek appear on the track “Target for Tonight” on the CD.
•   An alumni from Wicker’s Creek, Ray Chesna, who teaches Delta and country blues in the Asheville area included several of Jimmy’s songs in two of his CD’s.  
•   He has recently had a song, that he co-wrote with Nashville native/songwriter Donna Britton, picked up by an L.A. film company for possible use in television and film.
•   He has performed in two shows with the Southwest Michigan Symphony in their Around the Town series sponsoring local musicians.

Currently Jimmy is in the creative phase of his second CD.  Fans are eagerly waiting for this newest arrival.  However, to the delight of fans everywhere, Jimmy will periodically pre-release new songs preparing for what’s to come.

Many things inspire Jimmy and when something profound touches him, he will be expressing that through his music.  This is the sign of a true artist.
