Charlotte-area volunteers will meet at Garinger High School and North Mecklenburg High School.
Charlotte, NC, September 26, 2012 – There will be a lot going on at two area schools this Saturday when volunteers from the community and the Charlotte Chapter of the US Green Building Council join together for the first annual Green Apple Day of Service. For this national initiative, volunteers will come together in support of healthy, sustainable schools by taking action in their communities. Charlotte-area volunteers will meet at Garinger High School and North Mecklenburg High School. At Garinger High School volunteers will be installing carpet and painting designated parking spaces for eco-transportation. At North Mecklenburg High School volunteers will be installing ceiling tiles and painting designated parking spaces for eco-transportation.
