Ignorance is no excuse in the entertainment industry so A&Rs and managers are teaming up to educate.Houston's top managers and A&R excutives are working to improve the transfer of knowledge between the board room and local talent. The Music, Models and Managers Mixer is ground zero for teaching artist to cash in on their own talents.

The Music, Models and Managers event will feature an elite manager’s panel consisting of Keio Gamble (UGK Records), Darryl & Brittany Hardiman (TrueSole Ent., Duck, Bigg Fatts and Fiya’s management team), Evetta Cockerham (Moneyy Minded Ent., Fiya’s manager), Tasha Felder (Beat King’s Manager), Wale (Fat Pimp’s Manager), Chandra Chandler (Mack da MVP’s Manager), Amber Savage (Mz. Kenya’s Manager), OT Kelly Sr. (XXL Magazine), Tracey (Get It Lyve Ent. Manager), Dj II DEEP (Core Dj/DjzNDaHood CEO) and Dj Chill Neil (Core Djs). These busy executives have volunteered to be a part of this project in order to support Houston’s talent and network with the next wave of entertainment. The Music, Models and Mangers Mixer will also include performances by 20 of Houston’s local artist in genres of hip-hop, r&b and pop. Between these performances Cece “Phire the Diva” Williams along with (local internet radio personality and CEO of Couture Consultations) “I want to be involved in anything that gives young models a real step in the right direction. There are way too many people who are focused on misleading young girls and ruining their dreams. The Runway Vixen competition is here to cultivate their walk and I’m going to make it my mission to give constructive criticism so they can accomplish their modeling goals.” -Cece “Phire the Diva” Williams. The Runway Vixen competition will also be judged by Tiff tha Model, Mz. SGIA and Ms. Nightlyfe (Sweet tooth Media). Regardless of experience, all models and artist are invited to participate in this event and are encouraged to soak up the knowledge that the guests are sharing. It is less about performing at a show or entering a modeling competition and more about networking, improving your craft and taking the lessons learned at the Music, Models and Managers Mixer and applying them. It is also a great event for music enthusiasts who are eager to hear local talent.
