![]() Keeping it Simple, New NYC Flower Service Will Surprise You!NYC Farm Chic Flowers offers consumers the ability to purchase domestic flowers (80% of flowers purchased in US are imports) in artisan and recycled vases. Flowers are supposed to make people happy, these flowers make people feel great too.
Statistics show that 80% of all flowers purchased in the US are imports. This little known fact did not sit right with owner of NYC Farm Chic Flowers Debbie Demarse as she was quoted, “Why do we need to have our flowers racking up more air miles than we do: it does not make sense?” A recent focus group concluded when consumers buy flowers from a florist or floral service, four things are important: updated unique and garden like designs, affordability, buying domestic, and buying from a socially responsible company. However it has also been found, that since it is not general knowledge that most flowers purchased in the US are imports, at the time of purchase consumers are rarely thinking that their choice of flowers may have flown half across the globe. Demarse is passionate about educating consumers that they have a choice when buying flowers. NYC Farm Chic Flowers provides consumers the ability to make the choice to purchase domestic flowers. Ultimately, flowers are just supposed to make people happy, these flowers make people feel great about buying too. To Demarse’ knowledge, there is not another floral company on the east coast that exclusively offers domestic only flowers, and no company that pairs them with only USA-made artisan and recycled vessels. NYC Farm Chic Flowers practices the streamlined approach with their plants as well which reflect today’s trends. Whimsical air plants are shown in an adorable white ceramic basket from coveted Brooklyn Artist Amy Adams; the redwood frame which houses the local Long Island, NY succulents is sustainably harvested from a forest in Santa Cruz, CA and assembled by Tobin Friel, a Santa Cruz woodworker; and the traditional but with a modern twist signature grey clay pot is thrown, signed, and stamped and by renowned CT potter Ben Wolff and displays sophisticated orchids from a local Long Island, NY grower. NYC Farm Chic Flowers offers only domestically grown flowers and plants (local when possible) displayed in NYC/USA hand- made artisan and recycled vessels. No imports ever.
