Follow on Google News | The Scheib Center Hays County Texas 2012 recipient of the Mueller’s Helping Hands Building ProjectThe Scheib Center, which serves the developmentally disabled and provides mental health services for Hays County, announces building project and seeks private-individual contributions toward $450,000 goal.
“We are just about on top of the world,” Lisa Spencer, Chairperson of the Board at SCHEIB CENTER, said. “We’ RAISE THE BUILDING on October 1st-October 3rd, Mueller’s volunteers will come to San Marcos to erect the new 4285 square foot metal building. On October 4th at 1:00 PM the CELEBRATION begins with fun, food, music and a ceremony to commemorate the completion of this wonderful gift from Mueller, Inc. October 5th the shell will be completed which begins the interior finish process for walls, plumbing, HVAC, electrical, ceilings, floors, doors, windows and the many things which will make our building a functioning center. This new facility will allow us to consolidate our medical records into one building, allow case workers separate private consultation offices (HIPPA requirement) The SCHEIB CENTER anticipates the new building project and the remodel/repair of existing older buildings to cost approximately $450,000. Much of the funds have been raised through generous contributions from Hays County Commissioners Court, grants, and donations. However, we still need to attain our goal of $450,000. We are asking for partners through private-individual contributions to help us reach our goal.
