Mike Brown Retires After 38 Years with Lexington, KY Auto Dealer Don Jacobs

Sept. 21, 2012 - PRLog -- LEXINGTON, KY. (Nov. 20, 2011) – Mike Brown, veteran sales consultant and recent training manager, will retire after 38 years with the Don Jacobs Organization. Brown began as a Honda sales consultant, quickly moving to sales manager after 5 months. He held several positions throughout the company over the years. Don Jacobs presented Mike Brown with a brand new 2012 CR-V to commemorate his many years of service to the company.

“It has been a privilege to be a part of the Jacobs family, and a company with such high standards and professionalism when it comes to taking care of customers,” said Brown. “I am always proud to tell people where I work. I am proud of the growth we have had over the years and I know we will continue to grow. This is all because of our customers.”

“Mike Brown will truly be missed by our company,” said Owner Don Jacobs. “Our apple stands for ‘Always Providing People a Little Extra.’ Mike lived this every day, and it shows by the number of customers that still come in and ask for him when they are buying a car. We feel lucky that Mike worked with us for so many years.” Owner Don Jacobs also expressed his appreciation for Brown’s efforts by surprising him with a 2012 CR-V.

Brown plans to fully retire by the end of 2012, and is still getting used to the idea of retirement.

“It will be hard to say goodbye. I truly appreciate the Jacobs family and will always treasure their friendship and the opportunities they have given me. Not everyone can look forward to going to work every day. I can truly say that I did.”
