Hardware Store Creates a YouTube Page For Home Improvement Tips

Villa Park Hardware has a YouTube page for hardware tips and training.

Sept. 21, 2012 - PRLog -- Villa Park Hardware is putting video instruction online. Their new YouTube channel has tips and home improvement projects for their customers who want to do it themselves.

"We do training every month with our employees to help train on products and projects," says store manager Jason Smejkal. "Now we are taking these topics online for employees and customers. We've had a lot of positive feedback. Customers love seeing how to do something step by step."

The YouTube channel has a variety of topics. They have grouped electrical and plumbing projects together for easy browsing. The plumbing videos cover subjects from thermocouple training, faucet repair and toilet troubles to commercial Sloan Valve tips.

Electrical projects range from wiring a switch to how to install a ground fault circuit interrupter.

"We plan on adding new topics as we train our employees," says Smejkal. "I want to work on seasonal questions we get from customers along with more tool tips."

The local hardware store has a collection of over 70 videos now and plans to add more. With a balanced range of topics, it makes a nice place to visit when you have a question or just want to learn some tricks of the trade.

You can visit the Villa Park Hardware at 46 S. Villa Ave. Villa Park, IL 60181.
