Local Author Announces Book Signing Event in Danbury, CT for "The Character-Based Leader"

Sept. 18, 2012 - PRLog -- Tara R. Alemany, a writer from Sherman, will be holding a book signing event for “The Character-Based Leader: Instigating a Leadership Revolution… One Person at a Time” in Danbury on October 3 at 5:30 PM. This event is sponsored by Plaza Executive Suites, and will be held at their location on the 3rd floor, 100 Mill Plain Rd. in Danbury.

Alemany’s book was co-authored and published by a nonprofit organization called the “Lead Change Group,” which is a community that equips and empowers leaders to become the change they want to see in the world.

Twenty-one authors contributed to this book that has a single core message that runs throughout: character counts in leadership, and there are key elements that shape character.

The book’s message reflects that being an effective leader is not about your position or title, but rather about who you choose to be and the difference you choose to make. Character is the only lasting foundation for truly effective leadership. It is up to each and every one of us to be the kind of leader we yearn for where we live and work.

The book has been endorsed by some of the world’s thought-leaders on leadership, including Marshall Goldsmith, Douglas Conant, Liz Strauss, James Strock, Michael McKinney, and many others. This free event will consist of a wine and cheese celebration, book signings by the author, and an opportunity to network with other leaders in the area.
