WesTel Systems Chooses APMAX IPTV Middleware Solution

Sept. 18, 2012 - PRLog -- Remsen, IA – In an effort to leverage their fiber capacity and to bolster the video piece of their bundle, which is now analog cable, WesTel Systems has chosen the APMAX™ Middleware solution for their IPTV service.

WesTel serves 13 communities in Iowa and Nebraska and according to Bob Gannon, General Manager, the plan is to launch IPTV in March of 2013. Gannon also adds, “As we have consolidated eight TDM switches down to three soft switches, we have the ability through the APMAX™ to simply add IPTV middleware with a software load on an existing piece of hardware, which is huge for us.”  

According to Gannon the consistent peer references and commitment to the Tier 3 space with voice, video, and OSS were key factors in the decision to choose the Innovative video product. Gannon continued, “It helped to know that several other companies in our fiber ring have also had good experiences with the APMAX solution.”
