Atlanta Artist Thomas Arvid Featured in First-Ever Museum Show at Marietta Cobb Museum of Art

Sept. 11, 2012 - PRLog -- Atlanta, GA - This exciting first-ever, retrospective exhibition "Arvid: Reflecting the Good Life" presents a unique opportunity to study the artist's development, beginning with his early works and "red period" and continuing through his focus on the accoutrements of wine and the rituals surrounding its enjoyment. Bringing together nearly 50 works from private collections, the exhibition will occupy the Museum's entire first-floor gallery space, totaling approximately 3500 square feet.

Representing nearly every type of work Arvid has created in his 20-year career, in both technique and subject matter, this retrospective includes paintings, mixed media, sculpture and drawings including some of the artist’s most famous compositions. The exhibition will also feature an in-depth presentation of how the exacting artist made a career in art utilizing a new form of reproduction—the giclee.
