By: CIRD-NA Bhagavad Geeta yoga is the key to excellence for anybody engaged in any field of activity. In Bhagavad Geeta, rather than considering action & interaction a hindrance to spiritual pursuit, action & interaction become the instrument to attain the spiritual goal. Instead of seeking divinity renouncing the world, Bhagavad Geeta yoga exhorts us to divinize our life and activities in the world, here and now. Swami Nirviseshananda Tirtha is a sannyaasin (renunciate) Born in a spiritual family of Bengal, he evinced a strong inclination for the spiritual path from a very young age. At the age of 24 while pursuing post-graduate studies in Physics in Kolkata University, he was initiated into the pursuit of Brahma-vidya by Baba Gangadhara Paramahamsa (Swami Bhoomananda Tirthaji’s Gurudev) of Dakshinkhanda, West Bengal, India. In 1987, Nutan Swamiji (as he is affectionately called) renounced his professional life as a scientist and assistant professor in the Radar & Communication Centre of Indian Institute of Technology - Kharagpur, and dedicated himself wholesomely to the service of Poojya Swami Bhoomananda Tirthaji in all aspects of his mission: dissemination of Spiritual Knowledge, Value education, socio-cultural movements against religious superstitions and environmental degradation. Swamiji’s brilliant exposition of the Upanishads and Bhagavadgeeta inspires the seekers to apply the universal values to their daily life and expand their mind with the spiritual magnificence of the eternal concepts.
