A: PGDM is a two-year PG diploma and MBA is a degree program. However, the content is similar. Q: Pravallika: When I try to do the registration online, the form asks to check whether there is any academic break or not. When I click on ‘yes’ (I had a break between my 12th board examination and 1st year), the checkbox shows 1st yr, 2nd yr, etc. What do I need to do after that? A: We want candidates to account for the break in their academic career so if you have a break, explain the reasons and state if it is one year or two. Q: Aditya: I had a one-year break after my 12th class and the first year of engineering and again a one-year gap in between engineering. The registration site for NMAT is not allowing me to register. Am I not eligible for NMAT. A: We have given our requirement as graduation on the regular mode and not distance learning program. So you are not eligible. Q: Wasim: I have bad academic records in the 10th and 12th standards where I obtained 54 per cent and 55 per cent, respectively. If I get more then 90 percentile in NMAT 2013, am I eligible to take admission? A: Academic track record is important, but you are eligible to apply for NMAT 2013. So try to score high. Q: Nitin Verma: Is work experience mandatory? A: No, work experience is not mandatory for taking NMAT 2013 if you qualify for the other eligibility criteria. End
