Alaska Fashion Week (AFW) Founder 'Dominick Liriano' Revamps BOD & Committee

June 18, 2013 - PRLog -- Liriano said its appointment of new board and committee members will be announced at a later date. All new members would also be subject to approval by the companies newly appointed shareholders. Together, they control 50 percent of the company.

Liriano also announced other governance changes that would be put in place to insure no hostile entities attempt to fraudulently acquire or  seek control of the company, which is quickly becoming the gateway to one of the world’s most innovative fashion events in the world.

According to Liriano, the changes were made after the latest in a series of efforts by former Alaska Fashion Week Board and Committee members Sabrina Kern, Shirley Manuel Palmer, Brian Belcher, Mary Grace Tavarez and Lilibeth Mcintosh to remove Liriano from his company.

According to a Facebook post on the official Alaska Fashion Week page in-which at some point, Dominick (the Owner) was removed as group moderator, the former members state they "have severed the relationship with Gerson Nunez aka Dominick Liriano as of June 17, 2013 and any event going forward under the name Alaska Fashion Week is not associated with any board members, sponsors or affiliates."

However according to Liriano, Jean Rojas and Richard Zacharakis are still working directly with him and Alaska Fashion Week.

Liriano also has went on record to say their tactics are an open revolt due to their names and faces not being associated with the brand as much as his, pure childish and unprofessional behavior, he added.

The Alaska Fashion Week website is currently down due to proprietary information with old board and in the process of being revamped according to posts on Lirianos Facebook page.

Liriano is urging any sponsors, affiliates or individuals that have purchased tickets to contact him directly at 907-310-9338 with any comments, questions or concerns. All ticket sales made through the old website (www.alaskafashionweek.com) are still valid.
