Scott's goal is to get people to realize that both people and Google want good, informative content. Another point he wants to get across is that getting content published on other sites should not just be done with the idea throw anything up there to quickly grab a link, but also making that content good enough so anyone reading it wants to learn more and will visit the site that good informative content links to.

"That is what you would call good, targeted web traffic." explains Scott, "Someone who is already interested enough in what you have to say that they will visit your site because they want to learn more about what you have to offer them."
