The first six months of 2012 results show that Brittany and Provence Alpes Cote d'Azur remain a firm favourite. Even in these financially troubled times the more expensive region of Provence Alpes Cote d'Azur is popular.

Dordogne for many years have remained a very popular area of France for both holiday-makers and property buyers. There are large communities of Brits in the Dordogne. The west coast of France remains popular too with Charente-Maritime, Vendee, and Morbihan featuring in the Top 5 departments.

Gites are a popular buy as they can provide an income when moving to France. The rural idyll is in strong demand with farms, farmhouses, and cottages in demand. Those with bigger budgets are looking for Watermills, property on lakes or even Chateaux!
