By: Angel Martinez A “roundtable” “This new web site is being designed to give the most up to date information and materials to help our Scouting community offer the best Scouting program around,” says Michael de los Santos, Scout Executive for the Alamo Area Council, BSA, based in San Antonio, Texas. Phase I of the new web site offers Calendar information, Contact information, Unit Information, Training information, and District Information. It will be growing in content each day. Angel Martinez, Communications Executive for the Greater San Antonio Boy Scouts says, "Gus is the greatest! Just like our new website, he has been well received and well behaved from day one.” “Please bear with us as we add new content, transfer content from the old web site and update areas which may currently appear blank,” says Mr. Martinez. Gus, short for Augustus, is so named because he was born in the month of August. The image sewn on Gus can only be seen from certain angles; therefore it is called a “ghost” patch. Phase II of the new website http://www.AlamoAreaBSA.org will launch Fall 2012 with added features such as online event registration.
