Aug. 9, 2012 - PRLog -- Motorcycle-Maps.us is happy to announce a Motorcycle-Maps iPhone app version 2.5.2 has been released through the Apple iTunes Store.

The app while in its early evolution stages has been developed to closely replicate the paper maps, which have been produced by Motorcycle-Maps.  The app will give the rider access to the entire country.

A couple of the updated features are faster load times, quicker refresh times for rider location, variety of other route highlights for items like Civil War and Revolutionary War campaign routes as well as the ability to temporarily highlight specialty event ride routes.

Motorcycle Maps has been successful with the paper maps with approximately 140,000 being distributed to riders between April 2010 and Map 2012. It is expected that with rider input on routes and businesses that the app network will see similar growth possibly becoming even more popular than the paper map.

The motorcycle riding public certainly has a selection of both paper maps and applications to chose from, each serving a certain niche of that community very well. The difference with Motorcycle-Maps is that in addition to a growing network of highlighted ride routes the main focus is on the growing network of biker friendly mom and pop businesses that support the riding community across the country.

These businesses are categorized by a. Lodging, b. Retail (biker/bike accessories), c. Repair/dealer, d. Eatery, e. Miscellaneous (Biker Attorneys/others that may fit this category).

Motorcycle-Maps has initiated a program called “Celebrate America” where businesses can join the network on the app for a reduced rate. These businesses will benefit from the exposure of being on the app as well as through other Motorcycle-Maps media such as the company website and Facebook pages.  Businesses interested should contact Dennis Munden at dmunden@motorcycle-maps.us.

The Motorcycle-Maps iPhone app will also be a part of the recently announced “Motorcycle-Maps 2013 Passport to North Carolina” program. The program one where riders purchase a coupon booklet filled with approximately 50 “ride too” destinations across the state. Riders will have their booklet stamped at visited locations and upon completion of the ride season will submit their stamped coupons for prize qualification. More can be found through the website.

As its business grows, Motorcycle-Maps is constantly on the outlook for new outside advertising representatives to add to the network.  These are part-time, commission only positions. Anyone interested may contact Maps at dmunden@motorcycle-maps.us.

For those who want to look for the app can search Apple app store with either “DMar Enterprises, LLC” or Motorcycle-Maps.

Motorcycle-Maps is a disabled veteran owned company that gives back to the community with 10% of its net proceeds.
